Color Change Wraps

A completely different car. Same factory paint underneath.

Color change wraps replace your vehicle's visible color with cast vinyl in any solid, satin, matte, metallic, or specialty finish — a showroom-quality transformation that takes 3–5 days and comes off clean when you're done with it.

The fastest-growing part of the wrap market is color change — and the reason is simple. Paint is permanent. Vinyl isn't.

A color change wrap lets you run matte olive green on your truck for three years, then pull it off before you sell and reveal the original factory finish underneath. It lets you wrap a leased car without touching the factory paint. It lets you try a satin dark gray for a season and go back to gloss if you change your mind.

The finish options now available in cast vinyl are remarkable. True matte (zero sheen, not flat-with-a-slight-sheen), proper satin, gloss in hundreds of colors, brushed aluminum texture, metallic pearl, color-shift chameleon films that shift from one color to another at different angles. Most of these simply can't be replicated in standard automotive paint at a reasonable price — the matte finishes especially.

Before we start, we need to know your factory paint color — because we're covering it. We provide physical film samples, not digital swatches. Screen colors and printed vinyl colors are different things, and you want to approve what you're actually getting. You look at the samples on your vehicle, in daylight, and confirm before we order a roll of anything.

The installation is identical to a full wrap: panel decontamination, precise application, every edge post-heated into jambs and arches. When it's done, it looks factory. Not "wrapped" — factory.

For leased vehicles: Most lease agreements allow vinyl wraps, since properly installed and removed cast vinyl leaves factory paint undamaged. Read your specific agreement to be sure, but this is a legal and popular option for lease drivers who want a different color.

When a color change wrap isn't the right move: If your paint is peeling, has significant rust, or has unrepaired collision damage, a color change wrap will look worse than your current paint — the vinyl will telegraph every imperfection and start lifting at problem areas. Get the paint right first.

Our Process

  1. 1

    Film Selection with Physical Samples

We show you actual film samples on your vehicle, in natural light. You approve a specific product before we order a single roll.

  2. 2

    Full Vehicle Prep

Complete wash, clay bar decontamination, and panel-edge cleaning. Any surface contamination will compromise adhesion — we don't skip this step.

  3. 3

    Panel-by-Panel Installation

Every panel in sequence, vinyl heat-stretched into door jambs, wheel arches, and body recesses for a seamless appearance.

  4. 4

    Post-Install Inspection

Every seam, edge, and recess inspected under shop lighting. We're looking for anything that might lift — bubbles, tension spots, unseated edges.
