Professional Installation

The install is where every wrap decision either pays off or falls apart.

Professional wrap installation in our temperature-controlled Springfield shop. Supply your own printed vinyl and we'll apply it with the same precision we bring to every in-house project — or bring a vehicle in for single-panel replacement, post-body-repair re-installation, or anything in between.

A professional wrap installation starts before the vinyl comes out. The shop temperature matters — cast vinyl needs to be warm enough to stretch properly around body curves without memory tension. Our shop stays in the right temperature range year-round, which matters in Willamette Valley winters when ambient temperatures would make cold vinyl stiff and installation unpredictable.

Below about 60°F, cast vinyl loses the flexibility it needs to conform to complex body geometry. Film forced cold around a curved bumper or into a deep door recess creates tension — and tension is what causes lifting at edges months later. We eliminate that variable before it becomes your problem.

Hot vinyl is the opposite problem: above a certain threshold, film becomes unpredictable and difficult to handle. Our shop temperature stays in the range that cast vinyl was designed to perform in.

What professional installation actually involves: - Professional wash of the vehicle on arrival, regardless of how clean it appears - Clay bar decontamination of all surfaces being wrapped - Squeegee technique specific to the film type and panel geometry - Heat gun with adjustable temperature and airflow — not one temperature for everything - Infrared thermometer to verify panel surface temperature before and after post-heating - Post-heat applied to every edge, seam, and recess — this is what locks the film down for the long term - Final inspection under full shop lighting

Supply-your-own-film installations: We accept customer-supplied films for professional installation. Before you order film from another source, contact us to confirm compatibility with our installation process — format requirements, laminate type, dimensional accuracy, and core size all matter. We won't install a film that we can't stand behind the result of.

Single-panel replacements: If a section of your existing wrap was damaged — a door ding, a scuff, vandalism — we can often replace a single panel section rather than the whole wrap. The new panel needs to match the existing film as closely as possible. Bring the vehicle in for an assessment and we'll tell you whether a section repair is feasible.

Our Process

  1. 1

    Film Inspection

Customer-supplied films inspected for correct dimensions, print quality, laminate adhesion, and core integrity before installation begins. Issues identified before they become mid-install problems.

  2. 2

    Full Surface Prep

Vehicle washed, clay-barred, and decontaminated. Panel edges and jambs cleaned. If we find surface issues that could affect adhesion, we tell you before starting.

  3. 3

    Temperature Check

Shop temperature confirmed in range. Panel surface temperature verified with infrared thermometer. Cold panels get time to warm before vinyl application begins.

  4. 4

    Panel-by-Panel Installation

Applied in the sequence that minimizes overlap corrections and tension buildup. Squeegee direction follows body lines. Heat gun used at calibrated settings for each panel type.

  5. 5

    Post-Heat + Final Inspection

Every edge, seam, and recessed area post-heated with a heat gun to set the adhesive and eliminate memory tension. Full vehicle inspected under shop lighting.
